𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 | 𝗖𝗔𝗘𝘀𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿

Last August 27, 2026, the College of Accounting Education (CAE) came together for the much-awaited CAEsahan 2026 General Assembly, carrying the theme “Alang sa Kahibalo ug Kaalam.” Held at the UM Matina Gymnasium, the assembly served as an avenue for students to celebrate, connect with the CAE community, raise their concerns and questions, and formally welcome the new student leaders for Academic Year 2026–2027. The program began with a message from Mr. Marlon Jabla, Jr., CPA, CAE-CSG Adviser, who expressed his gratitude to the students and student organizations for their presence. He also encouraged everyone to enjoy and actively participate in the activities prepared for the assembly. A significant part of the program was the oath-taking ceremony of the CAE-CSG and eight accredited student organizations, formally recognizing their commitment to serve the CAE student body. This was followed by the presentation of the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) by Ms. Rillian Mae Cabatingan, CAE-CSG Executive Secretary. The presentation highlighted the organization's planned activities, objectives, and initiatives for the academic year, promoting transparency and keeping students informed. The presidents of the eight student organizations then introduced their respective organizations and shared their commitment to serving the CAE community. The assembly also featured a message from former CAE-CSG President Mr. Kurt Sidric M. Resus, followed by fun games and exciting raffle draws that brought energy and excitement among the students. To conclude the program, Mr. John Denver Palaganas, current CAE-CSG President, expressed his gratitude to the student body for making the assembly a success. He also shared his hopes for a meaningful and memorable academic year through the continued cooperation of the students, student organizations, and the CAE community. Beyond celebration and fellowship, the assembly also reflected the college's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. By providing students with relevant information about organizational plans, leadership, and opportunities for participation, the event encouraged inclusive learning, transparency, responsible leadership, and active student involvement. With its theme, “Alang sa Kahibalo ug Kaalam,” CAEsahan 2026 was more than just a general assembly.
